Santa Clara County has installed cameras on many of the county expressway intersection signal poles.
The Web site given below allows users to view traffic in these intersections.
After loading the Web page:
- click on a green line for the expressway you wish to view; a window will open with an enlarged view of that expressway.
- as you move the cursor along the expressway line in the enlarged window, small diagrams of each intersection will display;
click on the camera at the desired intersection -- or else just move the cursor into the desired small diagram.
- to choose a different intersection, move the cursor along the expressway line to a different intersection.
- when you see the small diagram of the intersection you wish to view, click on the small camera facing in the direction you wish to view. A blue square
will appear with the direction and intersection name displayed. If that is what you wish to see, click again on that same small camera, and the
camera view will appear inside the blue square.
- to view a different direction at the same intersection, click on a different small camera in that intersection's small diagram and then click there again to
see the new camera view.
- to view a different intersection on the same expressway, close the blue 'camera view' window and then return to step 2, above.
- to look along a different expressway, close the current 'expressway' window and then return to step 1, above.
